Pupil Premium

At Thomas Mills High School our students are at the heart of everything we do. Our values are so important to us: we strive to help students achieve their potential regardless of ability or background, we embrace a culture of high expectations, and we have determination for excellence in everything we do. We are a community committed to creating opportunities for all students to develop high aspirations, to make progress, and take advantage of all that school has to offer.

What is the Pupil Premium Grant?

The Pupil Premium Grant is additional funding allocated to schools to help them improve the attainment of children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The funding is paid to maintained schools based on the number of students in Year 1 to Year 11 who are:

  • eligible for free school meals
  • have been eligible for free school meals in the previous 6 years
  • looked after children
  • children of members of the regular armed forces.
