Year 8 pupils from Thomas Mills High School & Sixth Form have recently been working with former pupil, Lily Hunter Green, to develop an exciting interactive science game, debuting at the Chelmsford Science Festival.
Lily explains that:
HIVE HEROES (HIVE HEROES – A Trailblazing Fusion of Art, Science, & Play (hive-heroes.com) is an exciting new interactive game where Art, Science & Play converge to explore what humans can learn from the cooperative healing practices of honeybee hives.
This immersive digital experience uses wearable technology to engage players as ‘worker bees’ in a collective mission to halt the spread of a fast-moving virtual virus, by applying the wisdom of the hive.
Beyond the thrill of playing the game itself, HIVE HEROES offers the public the rareopportunity to contribute to ground-breaking scientific research.
Designed for ages 7+.
Premiering at this years Chelmsfords Science Festival. A festival jam-packed with many hands-on, interactive science activities suitable for all ages.
