On Wednesday 27th March, our team of Year 9 pupils from Thomas Mills High School & Sixth Form were invited to take part in a Latin Spelling Bee, accompanied by our two specialist Classics teachers. They competed against 11 other schools, and placed 5th overall with our best performer being Florence. It was hosted by Harris Chafford Hundred in Essex and was a fun and challenging day for our pupils, enhancing their experience of studying GCSE Latin.
We will be hosting a series of Open Mornings from 21st to 25th September, starting at 9:30 AM each day as well as our annual Open Evening on Thursday, 24th September, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
If you would like to attend an Open Morning, please get in touch as soon as possible via email at inmail@thomasmills.suffolk.sch.uk. This will help us to manage visitor numbers on specific days. There is no need to register in advance for the Open Evening and of course you are welcome to attend both events.
