CBBC Newsround

At Thomas Mills High School & Sixth Form, we were delighted to welcome Degraft Mensah and Sam Steel from BBC Newsround here today. They filmed students and staff as part of their reporting on our mobile phone policy.

We recognise that mobile technology is a feature of modern life. However, regular use of mobile device applications, especially social media, can impact negatively on learning, relationships and wellbeing. We want Thomas Mills High School to be a phone-free space. This starts the moment a student enters the school site or leaves a coach.

We are already seeing huge benefits to this approach and look forward to seeing some of our students and staff on Newsround!
