A Level Results -14th August 2025

Thomas Mills High School is celebrating some excellent A Level grades.  113 students sat Level 3 qualifications across 30 different subjects.

With the highest grades, A*s to As, the most notable performers are Acer Smith, Thomas Meeson, Archie Human, Josh Van Der Merwe, Alice Ward, Jim Perks, Benjamin Ratcliff, Edward Smyth, Malachy King, Ella Proudfoot.

76% of students are expected to move to Higher Education across the UK with others moving to apprenticeships, employment or gap years.

Mr Hurst, Headteacher, congratulated the students on their achievements: “It’s pleasing to see tremendous progress across all grades.  There are many students that we have been able to allow access to an academic education, and it is great seeing them achieve A Level success.  This will open many doors.”

He particularly noted the achievements of five Ukrainian students who stayed in the Sixth Form having joined the school during their GCSE years.  As well as studying A Levels, they have also maintained their own country’s qualifications.  Mr Hurst added, “their hard work as well as integration in our school community has been remarkable.  Not only do we wish them every future success but peace and prosperity in their homeland.”

Mr Cann, Assistant Headteacher, Head of Sixth Form commented,

“I am incredibly proud of the way our students embraced both the challenge of their academic studies and the numerous opportunities to contribute to the wider school community. Students should feel proud of their achievements which will allow them to progress in their education. The skills gained from roles of responsibility will enable them to effectively function in wider society in the future.”
