Year 8 Trip to London

There are lots of exciting opportunities to go on trips at Thomas Mills High School & Sixth Form. Last week, Year 8 pupils visited London for the day. The purpose of the trip was to show pupils the importance of London locally, nationally as well as globally. They started the day on the London Eye, where pupils spotted famous landmarks and viewed the real scale of the city. They then took a boat trip on the River Thames, where they looked at the housing and different types of buildings in the city. Finally, they stopped at the Olympic park, where Mr Cann talked to pupils about the legacy of the Olympic games and the redevelopment it enabled in the city. A fantastic (if a little soggy) day was had by all!
