String players at Thomas Mills

String Workshop

We are very lucky at Thomas Mills High School & Sixth Form to have a fantastic team of peripatetic music staff, who contribute hugely to the music department. Cal Fell is one of our amazing string teachers and she recently organised a workshop with primary school children, with the support of some of our year 7 pupils and a sixth form student.

They had great fun playing musical games, as well as learning new repertoire and developing their violin skills. Cal also runs two string quartets, The Mills Quartet and The Hulland Quartet, and a string group at Thomas Mills and we are very privileged to have the support of such a talented and experienced musician. These opportunities hugely enhance pupils’ musical experiences. To hear more of Cal’s pupils, please do come along to the Easter Concert on Thursday 21st March at St Michael’s Church in Framlingham.
