Year 8 Interactive Science Workshop

Earlier this week, Year 8 pupils from Thomas Mills High School & Sixth Form took part in an interactive science workshop. They were contributing towards research being undertaken by Lily Hunter Green, former Thomas Mills pupil and Artist-in-Residence in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge. With help from our pupils, Lily is developing a game that simulates how a virus spreads throughout a bee hive and how a vaccine induces immunity in future generations of bees by being stored in royal jelly. Lily will be back with Year 8 in April to develop her research further using wearable technology.
