Some of our Year 9 pupils from Thomas Mills High School & Sixth Form participated in an exciting performance at the New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich on Monday, 24th June. They collaborated with The New Wolsey Theatre’s Youth Perform festival 2024. The performance, titled “Our Home, Our Planet, Our Earth,” was an evening of theatre and dance created by young people from across Suffolk in response to the climate emergency—an issue they felt passionately about. The festival was kindly sponsored by the Suffolk Climate Change Partnership. Our pupils had several sessions working with a professional, along with many lunchtime rehearsals led by our wonderful Head of Drama, Mrs. Peters.
