We are delighted to be able to share with you some fantastic Christmas events that have been happening at Thomas Mills High School in Suffolk.
Year 8 pupils went to see the Rock ‘n’ Roll pantomime at The New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich. This annual tradition allows them to experience live theatre and links to the KS3 Pantomime unit they have been studying in lessons. Year 7 pupils also had a chance to experience live theatre by attending a production of Beatrix Potter’s The Tale of Mr Tod, by Red Rose Chain Theatre Company.
Christmas activities have also been taking place in the school canteen. All pupils and staff have had the chance to take part in a festive and delicious Christmas lunch, organised by our fantastic catering team. Furthermore, it was a great privilege to support a huge ‘Wrapathon’ event for Ukraine, which was held in the canteen on Saturday 2nd December. One hundred volunteers turned up to wrap over seven thousand presents!
Rehearsals for the Christmas Concert have been in full swing and tickets are still available for the Christmas Concert and the Christmas Draw, which takes place during the interval, via School Gateway.
Finally, we are looking forward to seeing pupils wearing their jolly Christmas jumpers next week!
