Some of our year 9 pupils from Thomas Mills High School & Sixth Form recently completed their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award Qualifying Expedition. The aim of the expedition is to inspire young people to develop initiative and a spirit of adventure and discovery by planning, training for and completing an adventurous self-sufficient journey as part of a team. Participants choose where and how they want to do their expedition. Our Year 9 pupils walked around the beautiful Suffolk countryside of Bures, Boxford and Lavenham. They also had to deal with some pretty changeable weather, from hot sunshine to pouring rain!
Congratulations to all involved!
